Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Launchmeter mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we process
Launchmeter is designed to operate primarily on your device. The App processes the following categories of data:
- Location data (GPS): required to measure your vehicle's speed and acceleration. Location is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Motion sensor data: used to detect vehicle motion and start measurements automatically. Processed locally.
- Run history and saved cars: stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, this data is synced through your private iCloud container and is not visible to us.
- Anonymous analytics: we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to detect crashes. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
- Advertising: the free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction events as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- Purchases: in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide the core functionality of the App (acceleration and speed measurements).
- Improve App stability, performance, and user experience.
- Serve and personalize advertising in the free version.
- Comply with applicable law.
3. Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any government identifier.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
4. Third-party services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics and crash reports.
- Google AdMob — advertising in the free version.
- Apple iCloud — optional sync of your runs and garage between your devices.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can deny or revoke location and motion permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Without GPS, measurements cannot be calculated.
- You can opt out of personalized ads in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- You can purchase the Ad-Free option in the App to disable advertising.
- You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App. iCloud-synced data can be removed from your iCloud account.
6. Children's privacy
Launchmeter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
